1 Turn wire snap ring (1) in direction of arrow and remove.

2 Drive out cylindrical roller bearing (2) using drift (3).
3 Drive in new cylindrical roller bearing (2) using drift (3) so that the grooves in the cylindrical roller bearing and axle housing are in alignment (arrow).
4 Install wire snap ring.

5 Remove locking ring (5).
6 Roughen inner race (6) of pinion head bearing and chop off with a chisel.
7 Heat new inner race to approx. 80 °C and drive onto drive pinion using a suitable drift with the larger inside chamfer pointing towards the splines.
8 Install locking ring (5).
