1 Fasten puller (17) on coupling flange (9) with two bolts so that the bolts press on the threaded ring (10) with a force of approx. 30 Nm and the puller lies flat against the coupling flange.
This clamps the outer races of the tapered roller bearings in the axial direction, and prevents the halves of the compensating ring from slipping into the oil groove when the drive pinion is withdrawn.
