Disassemble

Remove axle through-drive cover

Remove drive shaft (4) from the axle through-drive (5)

Remove tapered roller bearing (3) from input shaft (4)

Use lower part of to support puller and pry off hydraulic press.

Remove bearing outer race (2) inwards from the axle through-drive cover (1)

Assemble

Heat axle through-drive cover (1) in the area of the bearing outer race (2) to approx. 80 °C and install bearing outer race (2) into the axle through-drive cover (1)

Heat tapered roller bearing (3) to approx. 80 °C and install onto the drive shaft (4) as far as the stop

If necessary, drive in tapered roller bearing (3) using drift.

Insert drive shaft (4) into the axle through-drive (5)

Install axle through-drive cover (1)
