Detaching, attaching and securing twelve-point collared nut on front axle shaft

Detaching

1 Apply service brake.

2 Slacken and remove twelve-point collared nut (61) holding the front axle shaft.

Attaching and securing

3 Screw on and tighten new twelve-point collared nut (61). Pay attention to tightening torque.

4 Secure twelve-point collared nut using caulker so that there is no gap between the slot and the locking tab (arrow).
