Inspect visually the axle sleeve for damages

If you find cracks, as well as too much worn bearing seats, replace the axle knuckle (idem for the axle's beam).

Measure axle sleeve

If the dimensions are not within the tolerances, replace the axle knuckle and do not repair it.

Put the axle knuckle, by its centering holes, between the ends and check the eccentricity of the bearing seats

If tolerances are exceeded, replace axle sleeve.
