

Attach engine support frame and lift engine

 Do not raise engine too far as otherwise the engine mounts are tensioned and the vulcanizing may be damaged.

Remove lower engine compartment paneling

Remove bottom sections of soundproofing

Secure vehicle on the lifting platform

Loosen oil line (5) at front of the engine oil pan (6)

Detach steering coupling from the lower steering shaft

Prop front axle carrier (1) with transmission jack and transmission plate

Detach engine mounts from front axle carrier (1); to do this, unscrew bolts (2)



Detach torsion bar bearings from longitudinal member; to do this, unscrew bolts (3)



Detach front axle carrier (1) from longitudinal member; to do this, unscrew bolts (4)



 Only lower front axle carrier (1) so far that no lines and components are damaged!
