Attach engine supporting frame and lifting engine

Prepare engine support clamp.

 Remove supports (15) from  engine support fixture (1). Only the crossbar (14) is required.
Unscrew knurls (6) and remove mounts (5) from supports (4). Then attach mounts (5) to crossbar (14).

Position strut tower supports (11) on strut towers.

Position support (3) over filler neck of NOx reducing agent tank.

Attach supports (4) on vehicle.

 To do so, position a support (4) on the right strut tower support (11) and the support (3).
Position another support (4) on left strut tower support (11) and left upper front crossmember, as shown.

Mount engine support clamp.

 Mount engine support clamp carefully.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 To do so, release thumb screw (13) of engine support clamp.
Insert threaded rods of mounts (5) with engine support clamp into grooves of supports (4) and place engine support clamp.
Screw knurls (6) of mounts (5) on threaded rods, but do not tighten yet.
Position engine support clamp over eyelets of engine.

Install bracket (7) at engine support clamp and eyelets of left engine holder permanently.

 To do so, hook the hooks of bracket (7) in eyelets of left engine holder and bolt bracket (7) at shackle (9).
Fix bracket (7) in place with the aid of the knurls (10).

Install bracket (8) at engine support clamp and at eyelet of right engine holder permanently.

 To do so, hook the hook of bracket (8) in eyelet of right engine holder and attach bracket (8) to engine support clamp.
Tighten threaded rod of bracket (8) with aid of counternut.

Tighten knurls (6) and thumb screw (13) of engine support clamp.

Raise or lower engine as required.

 Raise and lower engine carefully.
Otherwise damage may occur.

 To do so, the screws of the engine mounts must be removed at the corresponding engine carriers.

 To do so, turn the spindle (12).
