Remove/install

Connect diagnostic system, start XENTRY and perform quick test

Only if automatically liftable trailing axle control unit (A142) is replaced.

 The quick test is stored at the end of the diagnosis session as the initial quick test and can be printed out.

2.1

Perform control unit replacement

If the automatically liftable trailing axle control unit (A142) is replaced.

 Control unit replacement is completely menu-assisted under:
ALAC - Automatic axle-lift control (A142) 
Adaptations 
Initial startup 
Control unit replacement

 Installation: Follow "Control unit replacement" instructions.

Switch off ignition

If the automatically liftable trailing axle control unit (A142) is not replaced.

Detach electrical connector (1) from automatically liftable trailing axle control unit (A142)

Remove automatically liftable trailing axle control unit (A142) from holder

 Control unit of automatically lifting trailing axle to bracket
