Remove shock absorber

Clamp shock absorber (1) in a vise and remove rubber mount with  (01)

 Model 901, 902, 903, 690.611 /63 /64 except code C47, heavy-duty shock absorbers

 The special tool must be reworked first of all for carrying out this step.

Clean bearing boss



Install

Coat bearing sleeve (3), rubber mount (2) and bearing boss of shock absorber with lubricant

 Use commercially available dishwashing liquid as lubricant.

Press bearing sleeve (3) into rubber mount (2) until flush when fitted in vise

Press rubber mount together with bearing sleeve into bearing boss



 Take off and clamp shock absorber at the newly inserted bearing sleeve (3) in vise. Center rubber mount and sleeve in bearing boss

Install shock absorber
