Remove/install

Perform initial startup of trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)

When replacing the trailer recognition control unit (N28/1).



Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)

Remove trunk recess cover

Remove on-board electrical system battery

Remove bolts (1), lift up bracket (2) and unscrew nut under bracket (5)

Unscrew nut (3), remove bolts (4) and lift up bracket (5) together with mounted control units and place to one side

If bracket (5) is installed.

Unscrew nuts (6)

Lift up bracket (7) together with mounted control units far enough to gain access to trailer recognition control unit (N28/1)

Disconnect electrical connectors (8)

Unclip (arrow) trailer recognition control unit (N28/1) from bracket (7) and take off

11

Install in the reverse order
