Remove

Remove clutch K3.

Disassemble

Remove retaining ring (105s).

Remove end disk (105).

Remove clutch pack (5).

Remove disk spring (5t).

6

Attach assembly device to clutch K3 and place on disk spring (21t).

Tension assembly device until retaining ring (21s) is exposed.

Remove retaining ring (21s).

Remove assembly device.

Remove disk spring (21t).

Remove piston (21k).

Remove sealing ring (arrow) from piston (21k).

Check

Check end disk (105) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or traces of wear are visible,



Replace end disk (105).

Check clutch pack (5) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or worn disks are visible,



Replace disks of clutch pack (5).

Check outer plate carrier (21a) for damage.

If damage is visible,



Replace outer plate carrier (21a).



Assemble

Lie new disks in transmission oil for at least one hour.

When replacing.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

Attach new sealing ring (arrow) to piston (21k).

Install piston (21k).

Install disk spring (21t).

 Install disk spring (21t) in such a way that curvature of inner circumference points toward piston (21k).

Attach assembly device to clutch K3 and place on disk spring (21t).

Tension assembly device until groove of retaining ring (21s) is exposed.

Install retaining ring (21s).


Check for correct installation position of retaining ring (21s).
Otherwise, the disk spring (5t) will jam.

Remove assembly device.

Install disk spring (5t).

 Install disk spring (5t) in such a way that curvature of inner circumference points toward piston (21k).

Install clutch pack (5).

Install end disk (105).

27

Install retaining ring (105s).

 Pliers

Measure

Measure and adjust clearance of clutch pack (5).
