Remove

Remove clutch K1.

Disassemble

Remove axial bearing from outer plate carrier (14a).

Remove retaining ring (105s).

Remove end disk (105).

Remove clutch pack (5).

Remove disk spring (5t).

Place outer plate carrier (14a) into lever-type hand gun.

 Commercially available devices/tools
Lever-type hand gun

Place thrust device on piston cover (14b).

  Position thrust device precisely. The stamps of the  thrust device must not contact the retaining ring (14s). This enables later removal of the retaining ring (14s).

Actuate lever-type hand gun until the retaining ring (14s) is exposed.


Stop lever press stroke as soon as accessibility is sufficient.
Excess force can cause damage.

Remove retaining ring (14s) from groove.

Reset hand lever press.

Remove thrust device and outer plate carrier (14a) from lever-type hand gun.

Remove retaining ring (14s).

Remove piston cover (14b).

Remove spring support (14f).

Remove piston (14k).



Check

Check clutch pack (5) for scorch marks and wear.

If scorch marks or worn disks are visible.



Replace disks of clutch pack (5).

Check piston (14k) and vulcanized seal for damage.

If corresponding findings are present,



replace piston (14k).

Check outer plate carrier (14a) for damage.

If corresponding findings are present,



replace outer plate carrier (14a).



Assemble

Lay new disks at least 1 h in transmission oil.

When replacing the disks.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.15)

Install piston (14k).

Install spring support (14f).

Install piston cover (14b).

Fit retaining ring (14s).

 Installation is only possible when the lever-type hand gun is actuated.

Place outer plate carrier (14a) into lever-type hand gun.

Place thrust device on piston cover (14b).

  Position thrust device precisely. The stamps of the  thrust device must not contact the retaining ring (14s). This enables later installation of the retaining ring (14s).

Install disk spring (5t).

 Insert disk spring (5t) in such a way that the curvature of the inner circumference points toward the piston (14k).

Install clutch pack (5).

Install end disk (105).

Install retaining ring (105s).

Attach axial bearing to outer plate carrier (14a).



Measure

Measure and adjust clearance.
