 Caution

Risk of injury to skin and eyes due to handling of transmission oil. Health risk caused by swallowing transmission oil

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Using suitable tool to pry radial shaft sealing ring (2) out of transmission firewall cover (3).


Do not damage the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (2).
Otherwise the transmission can be damaged.

 For cleaning, use lint-free cleaning cloth.

Check seat of radial shaft sealing ring (2) for damage or galling.

Transmission 725.0 (except 725.06/09) in model 907Torque converter removed

If any damage is found,



install a new transmission firewall cover(3).

Install

Moisten sealing lip of new radial shaft sealing ring (2) with transmission oil.



Automatic transmission fluids (ATF) (specification 236.17)

Use drift (1) to pound new radial shaft sealing ring (2) flush into transmission firewall cover (3).
