Removing:

1 Install handles (1) on torque converter (2).

2 Pull out torque converter (2) and detach handles (1).

Installing:

1 Install handles (1) on torque converter (2).

2 Smear the outside of the drive flange (arrow) with long-life grease, push on torque converter (2) and detach handles (1).

4 Measure distance "A" from torque converter to transmission housing.


Distance "A" must be 9 mm.

5 Turn the torque converter (2) so that one of the three tapped plates (arrow) points downwards.
Lubricate centering pin (3) lightly.

This installed position of the torque converter facilitates installing the bolts of the driver plate on the torque converter.
