1 | Peel up boot (9) on shift lever | ||
2 | Engage 4th gear | ||
3 | Screw on adjusting device (10) | | |
Checking | |||
4 | Check that the shift lever moves in the center of the gate in the adjusting device (10) | If necessary adjust the cross brace (3) of the shift on the transmission. | |
5 | Check clearance (a) between shift lever and adjusting device (10) | Clearance (a) must measure approx. 20 mm, if necessary adjust the longitudinal brace (4) of the shift on the transmission. | |
Adjusting cross brace | |||
6 | Slacken lock nuts (2) | ||
7 | Turn the adjusting rod (1) as required to adjust the cross brace (3) until the shift lever moves in the center of the gate in the adjusting device (10) | ||
8 | Tighten lock nuts (2) | ||
Adjusting longitudinal brace | |||
9 | Slacken lock nut (5) | ||
10 | Remove splint (8) | Installation: Use new splint (8). | |
11 | Unscrew castellated nut (7) | ||
12 | Pull off ball joint (6) | ||
13 | Turn the ball joint (6) as required to adjust the longitudinal brace (4) until the clearance (a) measures approx. | ||
14 | Attach ball joint (6) and screw in castellated nut (7) | ||
15 | Tighten lock nut (5) | ||
16 | Remove adjusting device (10) | ||
17 | Fit boot (9) on shift lever | ||
18 | Perform function test | Shift though all gears, if necessary | |
Repeat adjustment procedure. |
