1 | Secure vehicle against rolling | ||
2 | Put transmission in neutral | ||
3 | Remove floor panels in central aisle. | Remove carpeting beforehand if necessary. | |
4 | Fix gearshift lever (1) in vertical position | The gearshift lever is vertical when in neutral in the gate for 3rd and 4th gear. | |
5 | Detach ball heads of threaded rods (2) from lever arms of shift shafts (3, 4 and 5) | ||
6 | Detach ball heads of shift shafts (3, 4 and 5) from extension arms (6) of pivots (7, 8) | ||
7 | Detach pivots (7, 8) from vehicle frame | The pivots are fastened to the vehicle frame with 4 hexagon bolts. | |

8 | Attach pivots (7, 8) to vehicle frame | ||
9 | Fix pivot in installation position | ||
| Fixing pin for shift shaft pivot | ||
10 | Attach ball heads of shift shafts (3, 4) to extension arms (6) of pivots (7, 8) | Twist the ball heads if necessary so that they can be inserted into the extension arms easily. - Do not attach the shift shaft (5) to the pivot (8) yet. - Counter the adjusted ball heads against the shift shafts again. | |
11 | Attach threaded rod (2) to shift shafts (3, 4) | ||
12 | Check and adjust basic position of shift shaft (3) | Only necessary when installing the front pivot (7). | |
13 | Check and adjust shift shaft and pivot (5, 4) | ||
14 | Remove fixing pin for shift shaft pivot | ||
15 | Check that all gears shift easily and repeat the adjustment if necessary | Steps 12 - 14. |
