To do this, pry each ball socket (2) off corresponding ball head evenly, without tilting, on opposite sides using a suitable tool. Otherwise damage may occur.

Detach shift cables (3) from shift gate (1).
To do this, press in locks (4) and remove shift cables (3).

Attach shift cables (3) to shift gate (1).
To do this, insert housings of locks (4) accurately until the locks (4) engage.

Attach ball sockets (2) to shift gate (1).
