Bleed | |||
Danger! | Risk of poisoning by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury by contact of skin and eyes with brake fluid | Leak and store brake fluid only in the original container. Wear protective clothes and safety goggles.
| Instructions on brake fluid | ||
1 | Place stick shift on neutral position | During the whole bleeding procedure the gearbox must remain on neutral position.
2 | Remove bleeding valves (2, 4) and look for damage or deformation on the cone and clean | Install: Replace bleeding valves (2 and 4) if necessary.
3 | Install bleeding valves (2, 4)
4 | Connect transparent bleeding hose from the bleeding and fluid replacement equipment in the exhaustion nozzle (9) behind the front lid | To perform bleeding, a supply and bleeding equipment is necessary with constant pressure, at least 2.5 up to a maximum of 3.0 bar. The leaking must be of at least 20 to 30 l/h (that corresponds to approximately 1l/120 to 180 s). Using the bleeding equipment incorrectly may cause hydraulic system errors or damage to the compensation tank.
5 | Connect supply and bleeding fluid equipment to bleeding valve (2) of the gear command cylinder (6) and to the bleeding valve (4) of the engaging and selection command cylinder (7) | Observe manufacturer's operating manual.
6 | Open one turn of the bleeding screw (1) and of the bleeding valve (2) on gear command cylinder (6) as well as the bleeding screw (3) and of the bleeding valve (4) of the selection command cylinder (7) and turn on supply and bleeding fluid equipment
7 | Slowly move the command lever on the 3rd/4th gears several times (at least 8 times) back and forth up to the jamb | Rinse the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid flows with no bubbles.
Hold to the jamb for approximately 10 s, then move onto the opposite jamb and hold again for approximately 10 s.
8 | Slowly move the command lever in the neutral position from left to right several times (at least 8 times) until the jamb | Rinse the hydraulic circuit until the hydraulic fluid flows with no bubbles.
Hold to the jamb for approximately 10 s, then move onto the opposite jamb and hold again for approximately 10 s.
9 | Place stick shift on neutral position
10 | Close the bleeding screw (1) and the bleeding valve (2) on gear command cylinder (6) as well as the bleeding screw (3) and the bleeding valve (4) of the selection command cylinder (7) and turn off supply and bleeding fluid equipment
11 | Select and engage gears on the gearbox several times | Gears: Move fast the stick shift at least 10 times back and forth. Selecting and engaging: move the stick shift at least 10 times from left to right. With that the command acquires self centralization. in case of inaccurate commands (loose jambs) the command must be bled one more time.
12 | Run a functioning test | Select and engage gears on the gearbox if necessary
Repeat bleeding (from working step 7).
13 | Remove supply and bleeding equipment from bleeding valves (2, 4) and install protection lids
Danger! | Risk of injure by trapping and crushing when tilting the cabin | During back and forth cab tilting, stay away from tilting area and take preventive measures to avoid non-authorized people from entering tilting area. Always tilt the cab to its final position and secure it with the safety device.
14 | Tilt the cabin | ||
| Indications on cabin tilting | ||
15 | Adjust the compensation tank fluid level (8) (arrow)
