| Remove/install | ||
1 | Remove countershaft housing cover (20)
2.1.1 | Remove valve element (7) by turning slightly clockwise or counterclockwise | On transmission with transmission oil cooling
Clean the separating surface of the transmission housing around the valve element (7) before removal. The valve element (7) is spring-loaded.
Installation: Replace sealing ring (9) on valve element (7). Align the valve element (7) so that the spring pin (8) lines up exactly with the extension to the outside edge (arrow) of the cast hollow in the rear transmission housing.
2.1.2 | Remove valve actuator (6) and spring (5) | On transmission with transmission oil cooling
2.2 | Remove spacer (11) | On transmission without transmission oil cooling
Clean the separating surface of the transmission housing around the spacer (11) before removal. The spacer (11) is spring-loaded.
Installation: Replace sealing ring (9) on spacer (11).
3 | Remove valve element (4) with valve actuator (2) and spring (1) | Installation: Replace sealing ring (3) and lubricate slightly.
4 | Remove outer oil pump housing (18) | If present
The outer oil pump housing (18) is not removed separately if it is already integrated into the countershaft housing cover (20).
Installation: Observe installation position of outer oil pump housing (18).
5 | Remove ring gear (17) and impeller (16) in succession | The markings (arrows) on the ring gear (17) and impeller (16) must point towards the outer oil pump housing (18). Lubricate ring gear (17) and impeller (16).
6 | Pull out inner oil pump housing (14) from transmission housing
7 | Remove shim (13) and guide pin (15) from transmission housing | Installation: Determine the thickness of the shim (13) for the oil pump when replacing the oil pump or the rear transmission housing:
Determine shim for oil pump
8 | Clean all parts and check for wear, renew if necessary.
9 | Install in the reverse order |
