Remove tapered roller bearing (6)

Remove tapered roller bearing (1)

 Gripper

Remove retaining ring (2)

Press countershaft twin gear (3) off countershaft (5)

Press countershaft twin gear (4) off countershaft (5)



Assemble

7

Heat countershaft twin gear (4) to max. 180 °C and install

 Immediately after installing, readjust the countershaft twin gear (4) with zero axial clearance using a hydraulic press.

Heat countershaft twin gear (3) to max. 180 °C and install

 Immediately after installing, readjust the countershaft twin gear (3) with zero axial clearance using a hydraulic press.

Install retaining ring (2)

Heat tapered roller bearing (6) to max. 80 °C and install

 Install tapered roller bearing (6) so it is free of play.

Heat tapered roller bearing (1) to max. 80 °C and install

 Install tapered roller bearing (1) so it is free of play.

Install countershaft (5)
