 Danger!

Risk of injury to skin and eyes caused by handling hot or glowing objects.

Wear safety gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary.

Remove countershaft (6)

Detach tapered roller bearings (1 and 7) from countershaft (6)

 Use aluminum protective jaws in order to avoid damaging the countershaft (6).

 Clamp countershaft (1) in the vise. Fit the gripper to the respective tapered roller bearing (1 or 7) and clamp tight. Remove the respective tapered roller bearing (1 or 7) with the puller.

 Assembly: Heat tapered roller bearings (1 and 7) to approx. 120 °C with the hot plate and drive all the way onto the countershaft (6).



Remove retaining ring (2)

Press constant countershaft gear (3), 5th gear countershaft gear (4.1) and 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5) off countershaft (6) in succession

Transmission 714.10/12

 If necessary, heat constant countershaft gear (3), 5th gear countershaft gear (4.1) and 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5) with hot air gun to press off.

 Assembly: Heat 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5), 5th gear countershaft gear (4.1) and constant countershaft gear (3) to max. 180 °C using hot plate and drive onto countershaft (6) in succession.

Press constant countershaft gear (3), 6th gear countershaft gear (4.2) and 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5) off countershaft (6) in succession

Transmission 714.14/16

 If necessary, heat constant countershaft gear (3), 6th gear countershaft gear (4.2) and 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5) with hot air gun to press off.

 Assembly: Heat 3rd and 4th gear countershaft gear (5), 6th gear countershaft gear (4.2) and constant countershaft gear (3) to max. 180 °C using hot plate and drive onto countershaft (6) in succession.

Clean all parts and check for wear, renew if necessary.

Assemble in the reverse order
