Disassemble

Disassemble transmission.

Remove retaining ring (11).

Remove tapered roller bearing (10).

 Use thrust piece 03 from the  disassembling kit.

Remove constant speed gearwheel 1 (8) and needle bearing (9).

Remove annular spring (5) and synchronizer cone (6) from synchronizer ring (7).

Remove baffle plate (4).

Remove retaining ring (3) and oil pipe (2).



Assemble

Insert oil pipe (2) into drive shaft (1) and install retaining ring (3).

Install baffle plate (4).

 The sealing lip of the baffle plate (4) must point outwards.

Check synchronizer cone (6), annular spring (5), synchronizer cone (6) and synchronizer ring (7) for damage.

If damage is present,



Replace appropriate parts.

Oil synchronizer cone (6), insert annular spring (5) into synchronizer cone (6) and install in synchronizer ring (7).

Oil needle bearing (9), push onto drive shaft (1) and install synchronizer ring (7) with constant speed gearwheel 1 (8).

Heat tapered roller bearing (10) to approx. 80 °C and install.

 After it has cooled down, adjust the inner race of the tapered roller bearing (10) axially until it is seated with zero tolerance.

Install retaining ring (11).

 Install circlip (11) with zero clearance, if necessary use a circlip (11) of different thickness.
