1 Measure axial play between main shaft bearing (24) and circlip (23),
(specification see table).
2 If measured value does not match desired value, remove circlip (23) and measure thickness.
3 Determine thickness of new circlip (23).
Circlips are available in thicknesses of 2.68, 2.74, 2.80, 2.85, and 2.9 mm.
4 Install the correct circlip (23).
5 To check axial play between main shaft bearing (24) and circlip (23) measure again, repeat adjustment procedure if necessary.
