Remove/install

Depressurize circuit 4 of compressed-air system.

See information from body manufacturer.

Disconnect electrical connector from power take-off 2 solenoid valve (Y9) or power take-off 2 solenoid valve with shift lock (Y9a).

Remove compressed-air line from shift cylinder (1).

Remove shift cylinder (1) from power take-off.

Collect transmission oil which flows out in a suitable vessel.

Installation: Clean thread in power take-off housing.
Install a new seal (2).

Bolt, shift cylinder to shift housing

Remove slide ring (3) and sealing ring (4) from piston with shift rod (5).

Installation: Install new slide ring (3) and sealing ring (4) then coat with lubricant.

Synthetic grease 50 g

Install in the reverse order.

Check transmission oil level, correct, if necessary.
