Radial shaft sealing ring

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Remove transfer case.

Remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).


Carefully remove radial shaft sealing ring (1).
Otherwise, the seat of the radial shaft sealing ring (1) at the transmission will be damaged.

 Dispose of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Clean

Clean seat of radial shaft sealing ring (1) at transmission.

Assembly cleaner

Check

Check seating of radial shaft sealing ring (1) on transmission.

If damage is found,



Perform suitable repair measures.

 After obtaining special order.



Install

5

Moisten sealing lips of new radial shaft sealing ring (1) with transmission oil.



Install radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Check for correct installation position of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

If necessary,



Correct installation position of radial shaft sealing ring (1).

Install transfer case.

Check transmission oil level.

If the oil level is incorrect,

correct oil level.

Check transmission for leak tightness.
