Radial shaft sealing ring

 Danger

Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.
Do not pour transmission oil into beverage bottles.

Remove

Remove front axle shafts.

Remove radial shaft sealing rings (2) from transmission (1).


Use suitable tool to press out radial shaft sealing ring (2), use rags for a base while doing so.
This avoids damage to the contact surfaces on the radial shaft sealing ring (2).

 Dispose of radial shaft sealing rings (2).



Clean

Clean contact surfaces of radial shaft sealing rings (2) on transmission (1).

Loctite 7063 (400 ml) cleaning spray

Install

Moisten outer contact surface and sealing lips of radial shaft sealing rings (2) with transmission oil.



FE manual transmission oil (specification 235.3)

Install new radial shaft sealing rings (2) into transmission (1).
