Remove

Remove splitter box cylinder.

Remove screw plug (6) by 5 turns.

Pull out shift rod (1) using a suitable tool in direction of drive.

Warm shift piston (4) to approx. 80 °C and remove from shift rod (1).

Remove rubber sealing ring (3) from shift piston (4).

Remove shim (2).



Install

Determine shim (2) for shift piston (4) of splitter box.

Press in shift rod (1) in direction of power output using assembly tool.



Tighten screw plug (6).

 Coat thread of screw plug (6) with sealant.

Loctite 5203 sealant

 Splitter group shift rod lock to transmission housing

Install determined shim (2).

Attach rubber sealing ring (3) to shift piston (4) and coat with lubricant.

Synthetic grease 50 g

Apply thread locking compound to thread of shift piston (4) and install shift piston (4).

 Remove excess thread locking compound at shift piston (4) and on shift rod (1) using a suitable rag.

Quick-acting adhesive, Loctite 270
