Remove/install

Check if the pneumatic pipes and the electrical cables are damaged

 Replace if necessary.

Disconnect the electrical connectors at the selector control solenoid in the gearbox EPS (Y55, Y56)

 Mark the electrical connections corresponding to electromagnetic valves of gearbox control selector EPS (Y55, Y56).

 Installation: Pay attention to the designation of the electrical connections corresponding to electromagnetic valves of gearbox control selector EPS (Y55, Y56).

Loosen the selector (1) shifting cylinder pneumatic connections

Remove the selector (1) shifting cylinder from the camshaft (2) bearing cover

 Installation: Apply sealing agent on the sealing surface of the selector control cylinder (1).
