Bleeding

Danger!

Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing brake fluid. Risk of injury caused by brake fluid coming into contact with skin and eyes.

Only pour brake fluid into suitable and appropriately marked containers. Wear protective clothing and eye protection when handling brake fluid.

Open front flap

Connect connection line (1) of bleeder unit to expansion reservoir (2)

Electric brake fluid change/bleeder unit

Adjust bleed pressure on bleeder unit to 2 bar

Switch on bleeder unit

Pay attention to manufacturer's operating instructions.

Attach bleed hose (4) to bleed valve (3) of clutch booster (5)

Open bleeder valve (3)

Open the bleed valve (3) by at least 90°. Carry out bleeding process until the brake fluid escapes at the bleed hose (4) free of bubbles, in the process operate the clutch pedal several times.

Close bleed valve (3) and detach bleed hose (4)

Check tightness of breather valve (3)

Switch off bleeder unit and detach connection line (1) from expansion reservoir (2)

The bleeder unit must be unpressurized, lower the pressure in the bleeder unit if necessary.

Correct the brake fluid level in expansion reservoir (2)

Perform a function test

If the function of the clutch operating system is inadequate, repeat the bleeding operation.

Close front flap

Perform minor teach-in process

Only on vehicles with code (GS2) Gear control.
