Clean

Roughly remove oil and grease residue from flywheel, timing case, coupling housing, pilot bearing seat, clutch plate, screws and inside of clutch pressure plate.

Spray flywheel, timing case, coupling housing, clutch plate, screws, pilot bearing seat and inside of clutch pressure plate with cleaner.

 Wear safety glasses.
Soaking time of cleaner approx. 5 s.
It is essential to observe the flash-off time of the cleaner of 10 min before installation of the clutch.

Thoroughly clean flywheel, timing case, coupling housing, clutch plate, screws, pilot bearing seat and inside of clutch pressure plate with cleaning cloths and remove any remaining fluid.

Wypall X80 cleaning cloth, article no.: 8377

Roughen flywheel, linings of clutch plate and lining side of clutch pressure plate with an emery cloth.

 Use an emery cloth with a grain size of 60.
