Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted

Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut.

Remove/install

Disconnect ground line of battery

Remove soundproofing

Hook engine hoist onto the front engine suspension lug

Remove fender liner on the right

Remove screw/bolts (1) from engine mount (2) on the left

 Bolt, front engine support to engine mount

Remove damper on the right (3)

Only for vehicles with code A1A (Front axle air-sprung).

Remove screw/bolts (4) from the engine mount on the right (5) and remove shock absorber mount on the right (6)

Only for vehicles with code A1A (Front axle air-sprung).

Remove screw/bolts (7) from engine mount (5) on the right

 Bolt, front engine support to engine mount

Raise engine without tilting until the left engine support (8) is about 1 cm from the right engine mount (5)


Observe clearance of the fan wheel to the fan shroud.
The radiator unit, lines or detachable parts during lifting can get damaged otherwise.

 Installation: Introduce guide pin (arrow A) onto engine mount on the right (5) and engine mount on the left (2). Place screw/bolts (1, 7) and lower engine.

Support engine from below with a telescopic lifter

Expose electrical wiring harness (9) on right engine mount (5)

Remove wiring harness holder (10) on right engine support (8)

Remove right engine support (8) from crankcase

Remove screw/bolts (11)

 Bolt, engine mount to frame

Remove right engine mount (5) and right engine support (8) downwards; in doing so push the electrical wiring harness (9) to the side

 Installation: Clean mounting surface of right engine mount (5) on the frame. Introduce guide pin (arrows B) on engine mount on the right (5) in the frame. Repair paint points on the screw/bolts (4, 11) and on frame.
