Remove/install

Raise vehicle

Remove air guide duct (5)

Lower vehicle

Unclip electrical line for "circuit B+" for alternator from fan unit

 Installation: Replace cable tie.

Remove air intake pipe (1)

Remove turbocharger heat shield (2)

 Bolt, heat shield to bracket

Disconnect electrical connection for fan unit and expose electrical wiring harness (3)

 Installation: Replace cable tie.

Disconnect electrical connection from engine hood catch (4)

Remove cover on engine hood catch (4)

Detach engine hood catch (4) and place to one side with attached hood release cable

 Lower section of engine hood catch to radiator crossmember

Unclip fan unit and take out above

 Installation: Ensure that retaining lug on cooler is seated properly.

Install in the reverse order
