| Remove | ||
1 | Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min. 2 m). | ||
2 | Remove air intake line (6). | ||
3 | Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect. | ||
4 | Release the air duct segment from the fan unit (2) (arrows B) and push it forward slightly. | ||
5 | Release fan unit (2) from the upper holders (arrows A). | ||
6 | Pull fan unit (2) upwards out of the holders (arrows A, C) until fan unit (2) can be removed from the air duct segment. | ||
7 | Remove fan unit (2) from the air duct segment (arrow). | ||
8 | Remove fan unit (2) from the lower holders (arrows C) and from the engine compartment in an upwards direction. | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Install fan unit (2) in the lower holders (arrows C). | ||
10 | Position fan unit (2) on the air duct segment. | ||
11 | Insert the air duct segment into the guides on fan unit (2). | ||
12 | Pull fan unit (2) out of the lower holders (arrows C) until fan unit (2) can be installed in the upper holders (arrows A). | ||
13 | Install fan unit (2) in the holders (arrows A) until it locks. | ||
14 | Fully install the air duct segment in fan unit (2) until it locks. | ||
15 | Connect and lock electrical connector (1). | ||

Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
16 | Perform an engine test run and check fan unit (2) for proper operation. |
