Drain coolant from low-temperature circuit.

Remove left and right air filter housing.

Remove cover (31).

 Installation: Check for correct seating of the cover (31).

Remove screws (2) and remove heat shield (1) in upward direction.

Remove left intake air duct downstream of left air filter housing.

Remove boot at left exhaust gas turbocharger and place to one side.

Remove coolant circuit return line with coolant circuit bleed line.

Remove screws (6) from exhaust gas turbochargers.

 Bolt, coolant line to turbocharger/cylinder head

Remove screws (4, 5) from exhaust gas turbochargers.

 Bolt, coolant line to turbocharger/cylinder head

Remove screw (7) on cylinder head and remove coolant circuit feed line (3) in upward direction.

 Installation: Replace seals.

Install in the reverse order.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

Perform engine test run and check engine for leak tightness.
