Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove/install

Remove front lower engine compartment paneling

Remove oil dipstick (1)

Remove electrical connector (2) from oil dipstick tube (6)

Remove wiring harness (4) from oil dipstick tube (6)

 To do this, unclip the cable ties (5).

Remove electrical connector (3) from oil dipstick tube (6)

Remove oil dipstick tube (6) and seal bore in crankcase with a suitable stop plug

 Installation: Replace sealing ring (8).

 Remove bolt (7) to do this.

 Bolt, oil dipstick tube to coolant pipe

Install in the reverse order



Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
