Remove/install

Remove oil pan bottom section.

Remove the timing case cover.

Remove tensioning rail (7) with compression spring (8).

 Installation: Ensure that the compression spring (8) is seated correctly in the tensioning rail (7) and the crankcase.

If tensioning rail (7) shows signs of wear, galling, or damage,



Remove timing chain. replace tensioning rail (7) and toothed chain (10).

Remove screws (1) from oil pickup screen (2) and remove oil pickup screen (2).

On replacing the oil pump (11).

 Bolt, oil pickup screen to oil pump

Release and disconnect electrical connector (5) from engine oil pump valve (Y130).

Release clamp (6) and guide wiring harness inward from the engine oil pump valve (Y130).

 Installation: Replace sealing ring.

Remove screws (3) and remove bracket (4).

Secure oil pump (11) against falling down and remove screws (9).

 Bolt, oil pump to oil pan top section

Remove toothed chain (10) from oil pump (11) and guide oil pump (11) downward.

If toothed chain (10) shows signs of wear, galling, or damage,



Remove timing chain. replace tensioning rail (7) and toothed chain (10).

Wet inside of the new oil pump (11) with engine oil.

On replacing the oil pump (11).


