Remove

Remove the pulley/vibration damper

Remove oil sump

Remove the guide tube of the oil dipstick (6), the bracket (4) and the oil suction tube (5)

Remove the oil pump housing (1) with the oil pump (9)

 Do not damage the sealing faces

Remove the radial seal (3)

Remove the O-Ring (7) from the connection nozzle



Check

Check the oil pump (9) for wear

 Only in case of excessively low engine oil pressure. To do so, remove the oil pump (9) from the oil pump housing (1), disassemble and check for wear.
In case of wear of the oil pump housing (1), the oil pump drive, the external rotor (11) or the internal rotor (10), replace the oil pump (9) with the oil pump housing (1).

Check the crankshaft (2) on the sealing surface of the radial retainer (3) for wear tracks

In case of sharp wear tracks:



Remove/install crankshaft

Installation:

Install the O-Ring (7) on the connection nozzle

Install the oil pump housing (1)

 Apply a sealant to the sealing faces.
Align the oil pump driven gear (1) with the crankshaft (2) driven gear (8).

Place the guide sleeve (12.2) on the crankshaft (2) and press the radial retainer (3) with the mandrel (12.1)

 Evenly press the dry radial retainer (3) parallel to the axis and across the diameter. The shoulder (A) of the radial retainer (3) is determined by the mandrel (12.1).

Install the guide tube of the oil dipstick (6), the bracket (4) and the oil suction tube (5)

 Clean the strainer of the oil suction pipe (5), if it is dirty.

 The installation should be tension-free.
