Remove/install

Remove upper engine cover.

 Installation: Only install upper engine cover after the leak test.

Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2).

Remove electric line (5) from holder (4).

Release and disconnect electrical connection (3).

Remove screw (1).

 Camshaft position sensor on cylinder head cover

Remove camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1).

 Installation: Replace O-ring.

Seal opening in cylinder head cover with suitable stop plug.

 Record plug

Install in the reverse order.



Check

Read out and delete fault memory.



Perform engine test run and check cylinder head cover in the area of the camshaft Hall sensor (B6/1) for leak tightness.

Install upper engine cover.
