Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Remove

Remove AdBlue® metering device (1)

Remove screw/bolts (5)

Do not re-use screw/bolts (5).

Remove connection fitting (6) on AdBlue® metering device (1)

Remove filter (3)

A needle nose pliers can be used for example as a tool.

Remove connection pieces (4)

Do not re-use connection pieces (4).

Clean contact surfaces on AdBlue® metering device (1) and connection fitting (6)


Dirt should never be allowed to get into the bores.
This could lead to blocking of the AdBlue® metering device (1).

Install

Install a new filter (3) in the AdBlue® inlet (2)

Press new connection pieces (4) into the bores (7) (arrow)


The O-rings on the connection pieces (4) must be coated with some AdBlue® before indentation in the bores (7). Ensure that the O-rings do not tilt.
Otherwise they may be damaged.

Press the new connection pieces (4) into the bores (7) all the way.

Attach connection fitting (6) to AdBlue® metering device (1) using new screw/bolts (5)
