Remove/install pneumatic pressure relief valve from pump module

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Carefully clean the threaded connection area (3) of the internal pressure relief valve of the pump module (1).  . 

Detach the air line (2) from the threaded neck (3).

Detach AdBlue supply line (4) at the supply connection (8) and seal with the sealing piece for the AdBlue supply line (5).

Detach AdBlue return line (6) at the return connection (9) and seal with the sealing piece for the AdBlue return line (7).

Seal the AdBlue supply line (10) with the sealing piece (10).

Unscrew the coupling nut from the threaded neck (3), counter supporting it.

Remove the threaded neck (3) utilizing an adequate socket wrench.

Remove the internal pressure relief valve (12).

 When removing, use a screw (11) of size M5x50. Screw-on the screw (11) until you notice the end and then pull it with a pliers. Be sure the axial sealing ring (18) is also removed and does not remain stuck in the tapped hole.

Clean the orifice on the pump module utilizing a lint-free cloth.

Apply a thin layer of lubricant on the O-rings (13, 14, 15).

 It is important to ensure that the holes (16,17) are not blocked with lubricant,
as this could cause a malfunction of the internal pressure relief valve.

Install the O-ring (18) in its place and install the internal pressure relief valve.

 When installing, use a screw (11) of size M5x50. Screw-on the screw (11) until the end is felt and then press the internal pressure relief valve to the end point of the pump module bore. Be sure no dirt gets in the way during the insertion and that the O-rings are not damaged.

Remove the screw (11).

Check the seating of the O-ring (18) and align if necessary.

Install the threaded neck (3) .

Connect the AdBlue supply line (4) to the inlet (8).

Connect the return line (6) to the connection (9). 

Connect the air inlet (2) to the threaded neck (3).
