Warning

Risk of burn injuries and scalding when working at AdBlue lines and the components attached to them. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when handling AdBlue. Risk of poisoning caused by swallowing AdBlue

Pour AdBlue into suitable containers only. Wait until the pressure is released before starting any work on the exhaust aftertreatment system.

Check

1

Adjust the refractometer (5) to determine the AdBlue concentration

AR14.40-B-2041-01A

2

Remove a little Remove a small volume of AdBlue from its reservoir

3

Place 1 or 2 drops of AdBlue on the prism (1) of the refractometer (5)

The remaining parts of the refractometer (5) can not come into contact with AdBlue,
because it can penetrate inside the same.

When closing the cover (2) the AdBlue will be distributed evenly

4

Look through the viewfinder (4) against a light background

Scales can be adjusted by turning the viewfinder (4).

5

View the measurement value in the light/dark limit of the AdBlue scale (B)

The AdBlue concentration is correct when the urea content is above 30%,
Otherwise, AdBlue should be replaced.

The AdBlue urea content is 32.5 %. Minor changes are regulated by the exhaust gas aftertreatment system.

6

Carefully clean the prism (1) and the tilting cover (2) of any AdBlue residues

The refractometer (5) is extremely sensitive to impact and scratches.

For cleaning, should use only water, without adding cleaning products.
