Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
Danger ! | Risk of injury caused by body parts being pinched or crushed as cab is tilted | Ensure that no one is within the tilting range of the cab as it is being tilted. Always tilt the cab all the way to the end position and secure with the safety strut. | |

1 | Tilt cab | Installation: Only tilt back cab after the leak test. | |
2 | Drain coolant at engine radiator | ||
3 | Remove soundproofing | ||
4 | Remove air intake duct (1) at the cylinder head cover | ||
5 | Remove coolant expansion line (2) on exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | ||
6 | Remove exhaust gas recirculation pipe (4) upstream of exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | ||
7 | Remove clamps (5). | Mark installation position of the clamps (5). | |
Installation: Check clamps (5) for damage; replace if necessary. | |||
8 | Disconnect exhaust gas recirculation pipe (6) from exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | Installation: Replace connection fitting (7). | |
9 | Remove exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) | Installation: Clean sealing surfaces on exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3). Replace seals (8). | |
10 | Install in the reverse order | ||
11 | Start engine and perform an engine test run | Allow engine to run at a higher rotational speed. | |
12 | Check area around exhaust gas recirculation cooler (3) for leaktightness | Visual inspection. |
