Risk of death caused by vehicle slipping or toppling off of the lifting platform.

Align vehicle between vehicle lift columns and position the four support plates at the vehicle lift support points specified by the vehicle manufacturer.

Remove

Remove air/water duct.

Remove the throttle valve actuator.

Detach valve (1) from holder (4).

 To do this remove screw (2) and loosen screw (3) by a number of revolutions. The connections are not disassembled.

Remove holder (4).

 For this purpose, remove screws (5) and remove electrical wiring harness.

Disconnect electrical connectors (6).

Remove screws_(7).

Disconnect the electrical connector for the temperature sensor downstream of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

Remove exhaust gas recirculation positioner (Y27/15) with bypass flap (8).

 To do so, remove hose (9) on the diaphram capsule.



Install

Install exhaust gas recirculation positioner (Y27/15) with bypass flap (8).

 Replace seals.
Align exhaust gas recirculation valve with exhaust gas recirculation positioner (Y27/15) with bypass flap (8) and the exhaust gas recirculation cooler relative to holders on exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

 Bolt, bypass flap with exhaust gas recirculation valve to exhaust gas recirculation line

Attach the hose (9) to the diaphram capsule.

Connect the electrical connector for the temperature sensor downstream of the exhaust gas recirculation cooler.

Connect electrical connectors (6).

Install holder (4).

 To do so, attach electrical wiring harness and turn in screws (5).

Attach the valve (1) to the holder (4).

 To do so, turn in screw (2) and tighten screw (3).

Install the throttle valve actuator.

 Warning

Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running.

Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
