1 Fit blocking device (1) over the conrod (2) onto the crankshaft and bolt tight.
On single-cylinder compressor use blocking device 442 589 09 63 00.
On double-compressor use blocking device 541 589 03 63 00.
The crankshaft journal must point up.

2 Use ring wrench (5) to unscrew bolt (3) at drive gear (4) and take out drive gear (4).
3 Take off blocking device (1).

4 Push crankshaft (6) together with conrod (2) out of the timing case and take off the outer bearing flange (7).
Single-cylinder compressor:
5.1 Lift crankshaft (6) and conrod (2) up and out.
5.2 Take off conrod (2) at the crankshaft (6).

Double-compressor:
6.1 Insert crankshaft (6) together with conrods (2.1 and 2.2) into the timing case (inner bearing flange).
6.2 Feed out conrod (2.1) for the upright compressor from the crankshaft (6) and take out through the top opening in the timing case.
6.3 Feed out conrod (2.2) for the horizontal compressor from the crankshaft (6) and take out through the side opening in the timing case.
