1 Rotate the front of the tensioning device (1) overcoming the elastic force of the spring until one can remove the steel pin (2) ( 4mm) from the bores on the front end (1) and housing (3) of the ribbed belt tensioning device.
2 Remove the steel pin (2).

3 Slowly rotate the front of the tensioning device (1) (arrow) until the elastic force of the spring causes the ribbed belt to be automatically tensioned.
The ribbed belt is tensioned.
