Modification notes
1 Drive laden vehicle until warm.
The charge pressure test with an unladen or partially laden vehicle does not provide meaningful results.
2 Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS.
3 Switch on ignition.
4 Select "ACTROS" and confirm with the ENTER key.
5 Perform short test
6 Select menu "MR" and confirm with the ENTER key.
7 Select "charge pressure measurement" and confirm with the ENTER key.
8 Select "process measurement" and confirm with the ENTER key.
9 Incorporate point "1 Measured value" and confirm twice with the ENTER key.
10 Select by confirming with the "Start" key F2.
11 Conduct charge pressure test run; the system switches automatically to "Measurement ended" after rated engine speed is reached. After this, confirm with the ENTER key.
Depending on traffic conditions and the overall ratio of the vehicle, it is possible that the upper rpm range in "Gear 8 HI" is not reached and that the charge pressure test is completed in "Gear 7 HI" with a further charge pressure test run.
12 Select "Measured value table" and print out.
13 Transfer the measured values into the corresponding charge pressure tolerance band sheet.
14 Switch off engine, switch off ignition and disconnect STAR DIAGNOSIS.
