| Remove | ||
1 | Remove upper engine cover. | ||
2 | Remove air intake line upstream of the air filter. | ||
3 | Detach vent line (1) from the air intake pipe (2). | ||
4 | Disconnect electrical connector (3) of the full load vent line heater element. | ||
5 | Detach full load vent line (4) from the full load vent line heater element. | ||
6 | Remove subharness (5) from the air intake pipe (2). | ||
7 | Release clamps (6) and detach air intake pipe (2). | ||
8 | Remove compensation ring between the air intake pipe (2) and exhaust gas turbocharger. | ||
| Install | ||
9 | Install new compensation ring into the fitting of the air intake pipe (2) and wet with lubricant. | Lubricant | |
10 | Position air intake pipe (2) on the exhaust gas turbocharger and on the air filter housing. | ||
11 | Tighten clamps (6). | ||
12 | Attach subharness (5) to the air intake pipe (2). | ||
13 | Push full load vent line (4) onto the full load vent line heater element. | ||
14 | Connect electrical connector (3) of the full load vent line heater element. | ||
15 | Push vent line (1) onto the air intake pipe (2). | ||
16 | Install air intake line upstream of the air filter. | ||
Warning | Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. | |
17 | Perform engine test run. While doing so, check engine for proper operation and leak tightness. | ||
18 | Install upper engine cover. |
