1 | Remove engine air intake duct (1) upstream of air filter | ||
2 | Release hose clamp (2) and detach resonance container (5) on air filter housing (3) | ||
3 | Disconnect electrical connection on ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) and place electrical lines to one side | ||
4 | Unclip engine wiring harness and vehicle wiring harness on air filter housing (3) | ||
5 | Unclip electrical connection for the vehicle wiring harness on air filter housing (3) | ||
6 | Remove air filter housing (3) upwards out of rubber guides (4) | Installation: Apply lubricant to the rubber guides. Press air filter housing (3) evenly into the rubber guides (4). | |
7 | Detach ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) on air filter housing (3) | When replacing ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) | |
| Check | ||
8 | Check rubber guides (4) for wear and damage and replace if necessary | ||
9 | Check seal between air filter housing (3) and ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) for damage and replace if necessary | ||
10 | Install in the reverse order |
