The ground line on the battery must always be detached before beginning work on the fuel system otherwise pressure will be lost in the fuel system through opening a vehicle door or the trunk lid

Detach ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) from control unit brackets and put to one side with lines connected

Detach left control unit bracket (1b) from resonance intake manifold



Disconnect purge line (4) (arrow) and place to one side

Reduce fuel pressure at service valve (26)

Remove fuel feed line (7) from service valve (26)



Clamp off coolant hoses (5w)



Open clamps (3a)

Detach fuel hose (5k) from service valve (26)

Remove bolts (2, 27a)



Lift fuel cooler (27) somewhat and detach coolant hoses (5w)

Detach fuel hose (6k) from service valve (26) and remove fuel cooler (27)

Install in the reverse order

Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.
