1 | Remove unit pump. | Absolute cleanliness is essential when working on unit pump. | |
2 | Clean lower part of unit pump | No dirt or cleaning agent should find its way into unit pump since otherwise damage can occur to unit pump. | |
3 | Remove O-rings (10, 11) from unit pump | ||
4 | Slide sleeve (12) onto unit pump | | |
5 | Clean upper part of unit pump | Carefully remove any paint from sealing surface of unit pump. | |
| Disassemble | ||
6 | Mark installation position of intermediate plate (5) to the pump body (1) using a marking (arrow A) | Only use a touch-up paint pen, never a stamping tool. | |
7 | Lay unit pump on the stop plate (9) | ||
8 | Remove remaining paint with a scriber from heads of the bolts (8) | ||
9 | Unscrew bolts (8) and remove magnet (6) together with intermediate plate (5) and model plate (7) | | |
10 | Remove intermediate plate (5) and model plate (7) on magnet (6) and clean sealing surface on magnet (6) | ||
11 | Remove gaskets (4) and clean intermediate plate (5) | Do not damage sealing surfaces. | |
12 | Mark cross piece (2) and anchor plate (3) relative to the pump body (1) with a marking (arrow B) | Only use a marker; do not use a scriber or a stamping tool. The cross piece (2) must not be pushed or twisted. | |
13 | Spray cleaning agent on sealing surfaces of pump body (1), cross piece (2) and brake carrier plate (3) | Clean the parts carefully. Do not remove markings (arrows A, B). | |
14 | Remove stop plate (9) | ||
15 | Clean model plate (7) | Remove any paint from the bolt head contact surfaces. | |
| Assemble | ||
16 | Place new stop plate (9) under pump body (1) | ||
17 | Place new seals (4) on intermediate plate (5) | Protect seals (4) with grease. | |
18 | Place intermediate plate (5) on pump body (1) | Note markings (arrows A, B) on cross piece (2) and anchor plate (3) relative to pump body (1). Recesses at the opening in intermediate plate (5) must be aligned towards the cross piece (2). Existing paint holds intermediate plate (5) to pump body (1). | |
19 | Lay magnet (6) and model plate (7) on intermediate plate (5) | ||
20 | Press together model plate (7), magnet (6), intermediate plate (5), pump body (1) and stop plate (9) and fasten together with new screws (8) | Tighten bolts (8) above cross piece. | |

22 | Install unit pumps with new O-rings (10, 11) |
